As you would expect the French take picnics very seriously. Find out what to pack in your hamper so you can enjoy a traditional French picnic too by joining us for our Saturday May 25 wine tasting! Your one stop shop for your picnic hamper as we launch into Summer!
Wine (6 featured) - A French picnic wouldn’t be French without the odd bottle of wine. In the summer, you’ll often see families place bottles of rosé and white wine in the cooling waters of a stream running by their picnic spot.
Sweet treats - The more elaborate French desserts are tricky to take in a hamper so opt for our specialty 2 bite mini cupcake desserts or choose from our chocolate
Cheese - Always makes excellent picnic supplies. Either break off chunks of hard cheese like our Montamore Cheddar, BellaVitano with Espresso or Bucheron, or a DiBruno Brothers spread with Firehook flat bread crackers
Charcuterie - Pack plenty of cured meats – prosciutto, baby genoa, soppressata, Di Bruno pepperoni – which make tasty sandwiches, and some jars of terrines, rillettes and pâté to spread on slices of bread. The French love to crunch cornichons (gherkins) with those we have those too. Join us Saturday May 25, as we bring you a unique collection of picnic summer wines. As always we delight your taste buds with decadent pairing combinations $15 per person at The Wine Bar and Shop 414 Race Street, Cambridge Maryland. No reservations accepted drop in from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Share the joys of discovering new wines with old friends and meet new friends while tasting with us!
