Up next in the Lab series is the Old World vs New World Lab. What does it mean to call a wine ‘Old World’ or ’New World’? Apart from meaning a difference in geographical areas these terms also indicate a certain style and taste profile the consumer might expect from these wines. The flavors of a wine come not just from the grape but also winemaking practices and the effects of the land and climate. This class will highlight these differences between Old World and New World characteristics and explain why we can expect the flavors that we do. Students will taste three grape varietals in six different wines.
This class is perfect for beginner and intermediate students looking to advance their knowledge, wine enthusiasts, and your next team building exercise.
