I was amazed to find out how many French connections there are in the Oregon wine industry. Ever since Joseph Drouhin sent his daughter to set up their winery, the floodgates opened and now there are about a dozen Oregon wineries with French connections.
In this unique tasting, I've assembled a collection of Pinot Noir from Oregon from as many of the French-connected wineries as possible.
We will taste them blind- why? because I'm throwing is a ringer: a red Burgundy to see if it stands out. My guess is that it will be hard to detect, but that's the fun of this tasting.
We'll be returning to the Wine Library Room at the Park Central Tavern in Hamden. We only have 2 bottles of each wine- hence the limited seating capacity. I hope to see you there.
We'll have a 3 course menu with a choice of entrée.
