After a Saturday in Crete, conutue our European adventure, going back to our love of French wines. With summer just around the corner, we are showcasing two lower alcohol summer sippers.
2016 Pech Celeyran Cuvée Ombline $10
Chardonnay, Viognier, and Muscat
A blend that exceeds it parts. The nose is composed of aromas of white flowers, grapefruit, with a hint of almond. In the mouth, it is fresh, fruity, with a beautiful roundness. 13% alcohol by volume
2017 Château Teulon Costières De Nîmes Rosé $10
85% Syrah, 15% Grenache
A richly fruited, spice packed red from France’s Southern Rhone. Provencal herbs (lavender, thyme, marjoram), and ripe berries float out of the glass. The palate is not too heavy but not too light, with just the right amount of fruit backed by just the right amount of savoriness. Organic. 12.5% alcohol by volume
