Join us for our Greek Wine Dinner Event with special guest and sommelier, Tami Wong of WineWise on Tuesday, May 22nd starting at 6:30pm.
Come and Greek-out with us for a discussion of the Old World wines of Greece! The Greeks started making wine 6,500 years ago, making it one of the oldest wine-producing regions of the entire world! From 1600 BC until year 1 of the common era, Dionysian (of the Greek God of wine, Dionysus) cults spread through-out the Mediterranean. Come find out what was in the Kool-Aide for yourself and try 3 different Greek varietals.
We'll try Vidiano, a white wine that has European sommeliers singing praise of the wine's harmony of herbaceous aromas and stone fruit flavors.
Next up, Organic Roditis grapes that are blended with Pine resin from local trees creating an elegant, dry wine perfect for sipping during warm, sunny days, with a sea breeze in the air.
We can't talk about Greek wines without mentioning Xinomavro. Made from grapes out of one of the World's greatest wine co-ops and aged at least 5 years in oak barrels, this wine shows great weight and depth, with strong acidity and elegant tannin.
We will be pairing a full 4-course dinner with these exceptional wines. Please make us aware of any dietary restrictions you may have when you make your reservation.
