DANA is excited to announce the long-awaited grand opening of the DANA Adobe Cultural Center, the newest nature education facility on the Central Coast!
The Grand Opening ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 20th at 10 AM, followed by a tree planting event funded by PG&E and California ReLeaf at 11 AM, and then NatureFest from 12 PM to 4 PM.
DANA Cultural Center is the place where people of all ages can once again find their connection to nature. On May 20th from 12 to 4 PM, DANA will host a NatureFest to engage the community in re-discovering how a lifestyle that includes time spent in nature is essential to the physical, mental and emotional well-being of all of us.
This free event will feature informational booths about community organizations that feature involvement in nature. Children’s activities will include guided nature walks and nature stations as well as art work and a scavenger hunt. Talks on a variety of topics like beekeeping, butterflies, and archaeology will be scheduled throughout the day. Live animals will be featured during the event. Heavenly Hot Dogs will provide food for purchase.
Alongside NatureFest, the grand opening ceremony for the DANA Visitor Center will be hosted in the morning from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by a tree planting sponsored by PG&E and California ReLeaf.
