Want to join a wine education/appreciation group in San Diego County, come to our open wine
education/tasting event this month,
May 20 th 3-5pm at The Barrel Room 16765 Bernardo Ctr.

Attendees will enjoy 4 wines (a half glass each of), 2 whites and 2 reds, one of each from the
new world and one from the old, plus appetizers to go with the wines. Selected wines are:Telmo Rodriguez Baso Blanco Verdejo from Reuda, Spain; Terrazas Torrontes from Salta, Argentina; Bluegray Priorat from Northeastern Spain; and Waterbrook Reserve Merlot from Columbia Valley, Washington, USA.
The Chapter uses PayPal to collect tasting fees in advance of the event. To make a reservation, please email our
President at sdchapter.aws40@yahoo.com and you will be sent a Pay Pal invoice for $20 for this
event.
We will also welcome people to attend and purchase wine and appetizers of your choice
from the Barrel Room. Just look for our AWS sign to meet some of us and hear our members
discuss these wines.
The American Wine Society (AWS) is a consumer organization that appreciates, celebrates, and
shares knowledge about wine, with a nationwide membership of more than 8,000 people. At
our events we talk about taste and explore the incredible variety, depth, and character of the
noble grape.
The San Diego Chapter meets once a month with a themed program of information and wine
tasting. Members range from those new to wine, to experienced wine enthusiasts. The
meetings are typically held in North San Diego County locations.
