Join for our May Art Exhibition featuring Mosaics by Juli Kessinger! Come in, enjoy some custom wines, and peruse her artwork! These unique and colorful pieces will be on display and available for purchase throughout the month during regular business hours. (Check our website for hours. Must be 21 or older to attend).
Juli was driven to create art at an early age. Growing up as a military brat, art provided a coping strategy that would help ease the burden of changing schools and friends. Creating art was her constant companion, something lacking in a military lifestyle. This life also gave her fantastic views of an amazing array of people and places, all these views and perceptions are gifts to an artist.
She started her love affair with art as a painter and then as a graphic designer. A mosaic class started a new journey, she explored this amazing art form which lead her to glass. Where she promptly fell in love with the bizarre properties of glass as a medium. The ability to break, melt and paint glass is a constant source of fascination.
Her glass work reflects her painterly beginnings. She approaches all her work with the same concerns - depth of field, shadow, light, balance and overall harmony of design. Her mosaic work embraces whimsy and playfulness as well as the spiritual side of nature.
Juli is an instructor at the Creative Arts Center in Dallas Texas. Her mosaics are also displayed annually at the Texas State Fair. Her wonderful and amazing art can be found in private collections around the globe.
