Israel & Croatia
Wines of the Eastern Mediterranean & Eastern Adriatic
Saturday, May 26th
Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar
I’ve been pleasantly surprised recently by the quality of wines from Israel and Croatia.
Israel has a long history of wine making dating back to biblical times of course and beyond.
Recanati, an Italian family that moved to Israel in the early 1900s, has been making wines since 2000. They are Israel’s sixth largest winery.
Croatia has been influenced by Italy and Austria and is turning out some fine wines indeed from very old indigenous grapes.
Come and be adventuresome.
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
