Stop by and taste all twelve wines form our new selection for only $12, presented by Rachel Bilczo of Wine Trends. This is a great way to meet up with your friends and try unique wines from around the world, at very affordable prices. Here's the lineup:

2016 Pasqua Pinot Grigio (Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy) $9.99

A pleasant, fruity wine with notes of pear and apricot and floral hints. Fresh, harmonious and well balanced. Ideal with starters, delicate first course dishes, fish, white meat.

 

2016 Domaine De Maubet Blanc (Cotês de Gascogne, Southwest France) $9.99

A blend of 60% Colombard, 20% Ugni Blanc, 11% Gros Manning & 9% Sauvignon Blanc, this wine is bright, fruity and deliciously crisp and refreshing. Intense nose of lime, apples and herbs with beautiful acidity making this wine extremely food friendly. 

 

2016 Roth Sauvignon Blanc (Sonoma, California) $11.99

Fragrant aromas of tropical fruits, citrus zest and fresh cut melon carry through to the palate. The zingy mouthfeel and flavors of grapefruit and lime set the stage for a long juicy finish.

 

2016 Bonpas Luberon Blanc (Rhone Valley, France) $9.99

Luberon is one of the most southerly wine-growing areas of the Rhone Valley and is home to this very expressive wine. Aromas of fresh summer fruits and flowers followed by flavors of peach, apricot and mango that persists on the palate. This nicely balanced wine will be a great match for fresh oysters, grilled sea bass or simply as an aperitif.

 

2016 Amalaya Torrontés/Riesling (Salta, Argentina) $9.99

Citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon skins with hints of jasmine dominate the nose. On the palate it is delicate and silky yet fresh and crisp, with a distinctive mineral note. Fifteen percent Riesling is added to this Torrontés resulting in some herbal aromas and great acidity. 

 

2017 Villa Wolf Rosé (Pfalz, Germany) $11.99

Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rosé is a true rosé, made with a brief maceration before pressing to extract color. It is light and refreshing, with deliciously bright berry and fruit flavors and a clean, zippy finish. The perfect match for any Spring or Summer meal!

 

2012 Do Monte Reserva Red blend (Lisboa, Portugal)  $11.99

“This structured and dense wine hails from the steep, sloping hills of the Lisboa region. While aged in Portuguese oak, which provides spice and dark tannins, the delicious black fruit core is not overpowered.” 90 pts, WE

 

2015 Hoya de Cadenas “130 Anniversary” (Utiel – Requena, Spain)  $11.99

A blend of 30% Bobal, 10% Garnacha, 20% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet, 10% Merlot and 10%Shiraz, this wine has great body and structure in the mouth, and elegant tannins, leaving a very long, spicy aftertaste. It is vigorous, ample and balanced on the palate. Recommended with red meat and game as well as cheese, blue fish and elaborate cuisine.

 

2014 Vecchia Cantina Cortona Merlot (Montepulciano, Italy) $10.99

Wide and persistent bouquet with notes of berries, vanilla and licorice. Velvety & harmonious, the wine is soft and persistent on the palate. It also received a 90-point score from James Suckling.

 

2015 Falesco Vitiano Rosso (Umbria, Italy) $9.99

This wine is a blend of 34% Sangiovese, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot with a ample, rich aromas of black cherry, plum and blackberries. It is deep and intense with  substantial body but, above all, it brings out all the flavors of the food with which it is matched with it’s freshness and acidity. Pair with: sopressata pizza, pomodoro sauces, or ratatouille.

 

2016 La Rousse Malbec (Languedoc-Roussillon, France) $11.99

The La Rousse Malbec expresses the stony character of the terroir with its inky violet color, and spicy fruit aromas. Showing varietal character, this Malbec is full of blackberry, cassis, and espresso notes.  While this wine is ideal with lean red meats like flank or skirt steak, it is also excellent with burgers, barbeque, or even pizza. The art work on the label is done by a Columbus, OH resident artist.

 

2015 Chateau Bel-Air LaClotte (Bordeaux, France) $11.99 

This blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc shows a smoky nose with red fruits and mocha aromas. Blackberry, raspberry and red plum flavors dominate the palate of this supple and harmonious wine. It would be appreciated with a piece of beef or leg of lamb, grilled veal or beef tenderloin.
