LOCATION & PHONE
Wine Vault & Bistro is located in the heart of San Diego between Little Italy and Old Town at 3731-A India Street on the upstairs terrace. Follow the black handrail up the stairs from the sidewalk to our front door. Our phone number is (619) 295-3939.

PARKING ~ FREE & PAID
Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare at the corner of India and Winder. On-street parking is also usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always lots of parking on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's tons of parking less than three blocks away!

WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2017 Las Nubes “Jaak” Rosé ~ $18
(Valle de Guadalupe) Winemaker's Notes: 40% Grenache, 40% Carignan + 20% Zinfandel. Intense nose of good expression, open aroma in fruit character, clean and elegant, notes of pineapple, apple, pear, light floral touches and great balance, equilibrium and harmony are presented. Wine of medium high intensity taste, dry, pleasant and balanced acidity, long-standing fresh wine, good body and fruity aftertaste confirming its aromatic aspect and elegant expression. Pair with all types of shell products such as clams, oysters, lobster and shrimp.

2016 Frog's Leap Zinfandel ~ $26
(Napa Valley) Winemaker's Notes: A Zinfandel that draws its power from sophistication instead of raw alcohol content. Made in the classic field blend style including significant portions of Petite Sirah and Carignane.

2016 Margerum Riesling ~ $16
(Santa Barbara County) Winemaker's Notes: 100% Riesling. Fresh bright aromas of green apples, white flowers, snap peas and touches of honey-comb. Light straw green in color with hues of gold. Crisp, clean and racy palate. Complex young flavors of tart apple pie and strappy citrus peel literally dance on the palate. A nice minerality rounds out the wine and there is a persistent finish. This is a wine that is great served cold as an aperitif or slightly chilled with smoked seafood or Asian cuisine. It’s a wine that can be (and should be) enjoyed now. We also recommend cellaring to drink the next 10+ years as previous vintages have aged incredibly well.

2015 Margerum "M5" Red Blend ~ $23
(Santa Barbara) 41% Grenache, 37% Syrah, 14% Mourvèdre, 4% Counoise & 4% Cinsaut. Winemaker's Notes: A solid core of dark red fruit and spicy fruit surrounded by youthful tannins. The overlying presence of Grenache flavors initially impact the palate, followed by a finish complete with licorice, cocoa and dark chocolate contributions of Syrah and earthy Mourvèdre.

2015 Relieve “Ciclo” Nebbiolo ~ $32
(Valle de Guadalupe) winemaker's Notes: This wine is aged 12 months in American oak and has true Nebbiolo color. The nose has red/blue fruit, brown spice, a touch of oak and a trace of rubber. The palate has sweet raspberry, cherry, blueberry and a touch of coconut. This is very light bodied for a Mexican wine with fantastic acidity - long end palate and easy drinking.

2016 Bokisch Garnacha Blanca ~ $16
(Lodi) Winemaker's Notes: 100% Garnacha Blanca. This Garnacha Blanca is luscious, full-bodied white and is aged in 14% new French Oak. This vintage is distinct because of the native yeast fermentation which imparts a more complex natural reflection of the vineyard and soils. It has a delicate, light straw color and aromatics of Fuji apple, dried white nectarine, honeysuckle and tapioca. Round full flavors of honeydew melon, watermelon juice, and Bosc pear end with a touch of fresh tarragon. Pair with roast chicken stuffed with fresh lemon and herbs or savory roasted garlic custard.

2013 Margerum "Late Harvest" Sauvignon Blanc ~ $19
(Santa Barbara County) Winemaker's Notes: Nose of juicy fruit, honey and ripe melon. Pleasantly sweet yet not cloying attack of more ripe fruit nicely balanced with rich Meyer lemon acidity in the evolution and long finish. Will age gracefully through 2020 developing nectar-like aromatics and becoming richer and even more honeyed. A well balanced dessert wine that pairs well with fruit salad, custardy desserts like creme brulee, or salty cheeses.

Diplomatico "Reserva Exclusiva" Rum
(Venezuela) An elegant and complex sipping rum carefully crafted from the purest of sugar cane honeys. It is delicately distilled in ancient copper pot stills and aged in small oak casks for up to twelve years. Marrying a unique body with excellent balance has made it a reference for rum lovers and connoisseurs throughout the world. Amber in color, with a complex nose and flavors of maple syrup, orange peel, brown sugar, licorice, and sweet toffee fudge. Seductive and elegant finish.

WV&B's "Irish Coffee without the Coffee"
(Ireland) A decadent blend of Irish Cream, Irish Mist and Irish Whisky served chilled in a shot glass for sipping.
