Weekend Wine Tasting 'Organic For Earth Day'
Sat, April 21, 2018 to Sun, April 22, 2018 (2:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
Cost: $5
This week we have "wine made from organic grapes". Note these are not "organic wines", an important distinction and the source of much confusion in the wine market. For a wine to be labeled USDA Organic the wine may have no added sulfur, which can and did result in wines being "funky". Wines that are made with organically grown grapes, however, are allowed to use sulfur to insure the stability of the wine in the bottle. Just like with organic produce, wine made with organic grapes tends to taste more vibrant and complex, as well as doing Mother Earth a solid! Come try these delicious wines from diverse regions of California.
