Join the participating wineries of Virginia's Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail for our 6th Annual Spring Oyster Crawl! This year’s event will take place over a full weekend on Saturday & Sunday, April 21 and 22, 2018. Each participating winery will be offering one or more delicious oyster dishes to pair with their wines.
After experiencing the Oyster Crawl, you too will agree that “Virginia is for Lovers”… of wine and oysters!
Here is the list of participating wineries (in alphabetical order):
- Caret Cellars: Roasted Oysters and Oysters on the Half Shell fromRappahannock River Oysters, LLC.
- The Dog and Oyster Vineyard: Oyster and Shrimp Po 'Boys (fried oysters and fried shrimp on a buttered roll with lettuce, tomato, pickles and Chesapeake Remoulade Sauce) and Buffalo Fried Oysters (fried oysters in Buffalo style hot sauce served with celery sticks and Ranch or Bleu Cheese Dressing)
- General's Ridge Vineyard: Oysters Rockefeller and Oysters Cackalacky prepared by Denson's Grocery and R&B Oyster Bar. PLUS Live music both days by Loose Change (1-4pm).
- Good Luck Cellars: Raw Oysters, Fried Oysters and Oyster Tacos prepared by The Great Wicomico Oyster Co.
- Ingleside Plantation Winery: Raw Oysters, Fried Oysters and "Oysters Denson-style" will be prepared onsite by Denson's Grocery and R&B Oyster Bar. Additional menu items will include Crabcakes, Cheese Platters and Eclairs. PLUS Live music all weekend [Sat 1-4pm: The Atkinsons (trio show); Sun 1-4pm: the Lewis Sluder Smith Acoustic Trio]
- Jacey Vineyards: Raw Oysters, Fried Oysters, Oyster Stew, Shrimp Cocktail & Tapas. (*Jacey will participate on Saturday, April 21 only.)
- Oak Crest Vineyard & Winery: Raw and Charbroiled Oysters and Oyster Stew prepared onsite by Nomini Bay Oyster Ranch, LLC. (Chicken Salad Sliders and Hot Dogs will be available for non-oyster eaters.)
Tickets are not required for this event. Normal wine tasting fees will apply at each winery and oysters will be available for sale. (Please note: This event takes place at individual wineries throughout the Trail. Event hours may vary by winery.)
