Pinot grapes are some of the oldest in the world; in fact, they are 1000+ years older than Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.  And while Pinot is the 10th most planted grape varietal in the world, you may or may not realize that every Pinot wine doesn’t look like a Pinot Noir, even though they all come from the same root stock and are identical in DNA.  In the Williamette Valley in Oregon, over 90% of the grapes grown are Pinot. It’s a thin-skinned grape that thrives beautifully there, and if you love Pinot wines, this is absolutely one of the regions to look for on a label. At this tasting, Todd Martin, Southeast Regional Manager for Van Duzer Vineyards and National Sales Manager for Smith and Perry will be presenting five delicious Oregon, Williamette Valley Pinots for us to taste!  Picture yourself dining alfresco with some of these beauties! Join us and find some fabulous wines to serve up this spring!

We  will be tasting:

  • Pinot Noir Rosé
  • Estate Pinot Gris
  • Smith and Perry Pinot Noir
  • Williamette Valley Pinot Noir
  • Homestead Block Pinot Noir
