How do you define terroir? Terroir is often discussed in terms of winemaking, but what exactly does it mean? What role does it play in the foods and beverages we produce?

Our guest panelists will share their unique perspectives and expertise on what we believe, know, or hope to be terroir.

Presenters include:

  • Jordan MacKay, Author
  • Randall Grahm, Winemaker/Owner, Bonny Doon Vineyards
  • John Williams, Winemaker/Owner, Frog’s Leap Winery
  • Sue Conley, Cheese Maker/Owner, Cowgirl Creamery
  • Alexandra Kicenik Devarenne, Olive Oil Consultant, Calathena

Then, join us for a walk-around reception supported by the Napa Valley Vintners in our new state-of-the-art teaching kitchens. Get a taste of place as we explore wines and food grown throughout the Napa Valley region.

Admission to the event is $35 and includes the Conversation and Walk-Around Reception. This event is part of our Conversations at Copia series. Join us for more events throughout the day!
