Swirl. Sniff. Sip. We’ll guide you through the basics, all the way to advanced wine making, with an interactive, geeky, “research”-intensive wine course. Much tasting. And wine discussion. Maps. All the fun of wine, with some intricate details. Practical knowledge. We’ll share professional tips on what you really need to know about the vine, farming, fermenting grape juice, and the wine-making process, as well as how to utilize your wine savvy in the real world. Good times, wine friends. Come on over and get educated, with a glass in hand! From grape to glass, we will cover it all. Light cheese and charcuterie included. The courses are held in the winery, which is at cellar temperature, so please dress in layers.

To celebrate the release of City Winery Chicago's very first house-made wine, a Pinot Noir Rosé, join vintner Robert Kowal in a winemaker's exploration of rosé. We'll cover the full range from the most refined rosé bubby to simple summer picnic pinks. Taste examples from around the world as well City Winery's own version - our 2017 Rosé. We even experiment with a bit of tabletop chemistry; yes, there will be pipettes and Erlymyer flasks for true wine geeks. All this, plus light fare and guaranteed lively discussion. Celebrate the arrival of Spring, or at least waning of Winter, with an all time favorite - Rosés!
