Chardonnays from Five Countries
Wednesday, May 2nd
Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar
Chardonnay is by far America’s most popular wine grape.
It is the most widely planted grape in California accounting for nearly 100,000 acres of vines.
That’s a lot of wine.
About 21% of all wine consumed in the United States is Chardonnay.
Interestingly Chardonnay is a cross between Pinot Noir, that wonderful red grape indigenous to Burgundy as is Chardonnay itself, and the obscure Gouais Blanc.
We will taste Chardonnays from the USA, France, Italy, Chile and Argentina
Price is $20. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
