Letizia visits from Colterenzio
Wed April 25, 5-7pm, sale all day
Schreckbichl Colterenziois the entire name of this winery, located in the Alto Adige in Northern Italy. In this area, Italian and German are both spoken, and both are the first language of about half the population. Thus the first name Schreckbichl, is German, and Colternzio Italian. (Also, see different names for Pinot Noir on the label). They get it together to produce excellent wine sustainably, with over 300 famers participating. Lori and Ray visitedthem in 2012 and have carried their wines ever since. We met Letizia during our visit, and she is visiting Pairings and presenting a stellar line-up of five wines.
