In the battle of sweet versus savory there can only be one victor and luckily it’s you!
Join us Saturday, April 21st from 12 to 4 pm for our Craft Bourbon and Bacon Tasting with our friends at Blueprint Spirits. We will be featuring 25 craft whiskeys from Sonoma County, California to New Paltz, New York, paired with pasture-raised, whiskey mash-fed heritage breed pork courtesy of Coppersea Distilling and Farm. In addition to their prized locally-raised pork, we will also be featuring the acclaimed whiskeys of Coppersea. Coppersea uses locally sourced corn and rye for their truly handcrafted spirits. In the modern era where speed and volume often take priority over quality, Coppersea does the exact opposite. Their “Heritage Method” is more akin to how whiskey was made over 100 years ago and, while it can be time-consuming, it makes a significant difference in the density and complexity of this New York whiskey. The Whisky Wash blog notes that “these guys are the Most Old School of the New Breed of Craft Whiskey Makers.”
There is no question that small-batch, craft Bourbons and whiskeys are experiencing a renaissance all over the country; however, these craft distilleries owe thanks to the brown spirit epicenter of Kentucky for their origins. Its rich history began 200+ years ago with settlers in the Ohio River Valley. With its limestone-rich springs, fertile soils and native corn crops, Kentucky became the heart of Bourbon production as we know it today. While Kentucky is still home to some of the country’s oldest and finest Bourbon distilleries, including Elijah Craig, Makers Mark, and Woodford Reserve, across America from New York to California, there are some incredible bourbon, whiskeys and single malts being crafted.

We’ve gathered some of the best of the best Bourbons and Whiskeys, from around the country for you to taste and paired them with savory and sweet treats.
