Cost: Exclusive vineyard presentation and main tasting ticket $125. Main tasting ticket only $75.

Raise a glass and help raise funds for Howard Community College (HCC) student scholarships at the 12th annual Vino Scholastico on Friday, April 27, 2018. This special fundraising event will take place in the Science, Engineering, and Technology (SET) Building located on the HCC campus, 10901 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia.

Vino Scholastico begins with a presentation and a tasting tour of six special wines with Jay Youmans, who is one of only 45 Masters of Wine in the United States. For the past seven years, he has been the competition director for the Virginia Governor’s Cup, an annual competition of the best wines from Virginia wineries. His exclusive presentation is a pre-event and will take place from 6:30–7:30 p.m.

The presentation is followed by the main tasting, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m., where participants can sample wines, beers, and spirits from more than 20 different wineries, breweries, and distilleries, while enjoying a selection of gourmet food selections created by 12 local restaurants, and delectable desserts made by HCC culinary students. Guests will also enjoy live music, a chance for raffle prizes, and discount prices for on-site beverage orders.

Join us for this opportunity to celebrate education. Vino Scholastico tickets are $125, and include the exclusive vineyard presentation and main tasting. Tickets for the main tasting are $75. For tickets and additional information, visit www.howardcc.edu/vino or call 443-518-1970.

All proceeds benefit student scholarships through the HCC Educational Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
