You’ve heard of them … seen them on wine labels ...but did you know… that Napa Valley (CA), Dry Creek Valley (CA), Columbia Valley (WA) and the Williamette Valley (OR) are some of the premier wine growing regions of the United States? Wines produced from these valleys are some of the best wines in the world!
At this tasting, Joe Aiello, Vice-President of the Southeast Region for Vintage Point Wines will present 5 premium wines they proudly represent. We will taste 2 Sbragia wines from Dry Creek Valley, from famed winemaker Ed Sbragia, who for 32 years was the master winemaker at Beringer. And Ed, one of the top 10 winemakers in the country, is the only winemaker in the world to have received Wine Spectator’s “#1 Wine of the Year” award for both a red and a white wine! We’ll also taste a Bordeaux red blend from Delille Cellars in the Columbia Valley, which is the only winery in Washington State chosen for both the Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast "Top 100 Wines" for two consecutive years and for which Robert Parker affectionately named “the Lafite Rothschild of Washington State!” Another incredible wine on the list for this tasting ... a Pinot Gris from Panther Creek Cellars in the Williamette Valley, rated 92 points by Wine Enthusiast. And last, but not least, we’ll taste a delicious Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon...the grapes being grown on spectacular small sites, from the Madrigal Family who’s been producing wine since the 1930’s.
