The Steamboat Bandits are the real deal. Accomplished musicians all,
they come from Parkville, Missouri and play a type of bluegrass music that was begun
in the 1970s by bands such as The New Grass Revival. A high energy progressive string
band, the fellas met at a popular music festival in 2013. While involved in an infectious
campground jam session, the band was born and they haven’t looked back—only
forward.
This is the art of presenting pop songs and classic melodies done in the Appalachian
style, a fusion of popular themes built on a strong rhythmic foundation. 2016 was the
first year for the Bandits at Holy-Field Winery. Find them on Facebook and at Holy-
