This award winning recording artist has deep family ties to Nebraska,
where he started his professional career at the age of 14. In November
of 2017, David and his band returned to Nebraska, where David was inducted into The
Nebraska Music Hall of Fame.
With nine albums to his credit and a career in radio, Basse has a warm and inviting
voice that draws listeners in. The 2017-2018 Kansas City Symphony season presented
David in performance with vocalist Deborah Brown and Grammy nominated
saxophonist Bobby Watson. After traveling widely, sharing the stage with some of the
top names in the jazz world, David heads back to Holy-Field for a night of music and
fun. A fun mix with Basse and friends will be the all female A Cappella group, Audacity,
performing during the breaks. Audacity is K-State’s one and only all female A Cappella
group!
