Check our website for business hours).
Hesitant to call himself an artist, Kaiser has always had a creative side. It just took till he hit 50 to really blossom!
Moving to Dallas in 1992, Roger Kaiser Crafty Guy came into being when he lost his waiter job after 20 years. Rather than continue in the service industry, he became an 'artist' overnight!
He noticed that people did not buy art as often as they bought jewelry. He started buying bulk and used jewelry, tearing it apart and creating new pieces. This eventually led to building whole pieces from scratch, and he considered himself lucky to sell as much as he did online from his Facebook page. (His website is finally in the making!)
He also has had a very warm reception from supporters of Stage West Theatre in Fort Worth, where for 3 years has been one of their consistent earners at their yearly fundraiser/open house M.A.D.E.
To make ends meet, Kaiser has assisted a high-end decorator friend for 4 years. It was while shopping for artwork for clients when the "I can do that" bug bit him and he discovered the world of acrylic fluid painting. This realm has made him feel much more of an artist, as there has been growth and development in his style and technique. He has recently begun leading paint pouring classes for small groups in his home.
The Crafty Guy is happily single, has a cat named Deuce (with his own Facebook profile!), is a huge opera buff and pretty good in the kitchen. Never having owned a car, he bicycles everywhere he can. His wish is to someday have much less time for Social Media because he’ll be up in his craft room meeting deadlines and fulfilling commissions.
