For the next two weeks we will be celebrating Spring with new wines and old favorites to grace your holiday table. This week we feature Copain Winery which showcases Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the best of California's cool climates.

Copain, Tous Ensemble, Chardonnay, Anderson Valley, 2016 - $25.99

Tous Ensemble, “all together” in French, is a series of approachable wines that are perfect for every occasion, every palate, and every day of the week. Starts with floral aromatics of honeysuckle, jasmine and white blossom followed by pineapple, Meyer lemon, verbena, mandarin and pink lady apple. Simple, pleasing texture in the mouth, with lively acid that hits up front and is followed behind by Fuji apple and Asian pear flavors. Natural fermentation in barrel, 95% neutral French oak & 5% neutral American oak. Aged on lees for 8 months, and then in stainless steel tanks for 2 months.

Copain, Tous Ensemble, Rosé, Mendocino County, 2016 - $22.99
Bright salmon pink hue. Aromas include watermelon rind, grapefruit, lemon blossom, Satsuma orange. In the mouth- bright, moderate acidity that hits up front and carries through to the back, then leads to a round, enjoyable finish. Some flavors that appear are tart cherry, strawberry, Meyer lemon and Granny Smith apples.

Copain, Tous Ensemble, Pinot Noir, Mendocino, 2015 - $26.99
The aroma is layered with fresh red fruits, rose petal, and vanilla. The body is redolent of damson plums, red apple skin and bing cherries, with a silky texture and smooth tannins.
"The quality and purity of the fruit from this vintage produced wines with outstanding flavors and aromatics. We are excited to see our wines from this vintage develop." Winemaker notes

Copain, Pinot Noir, Les Voisins, Anderson Valley, 2014- $36.99
Rich and juicy flavors of fresh damson plum and raspberry are accented by vanilla, warm toasted sugar and hard spices. The fruit is luscious, just ripe and mouthwatering. The juicy fresh red berry fruit is rounded out by notes of sweet herbs, bergamot and dried tea leaves. "A perfect marriage of ripe fruits, delicate spice and earthiness with a stunningly soft and elegant texture. The wine will continue to develop gracefully over the next 5 years."
Winemaker notes

Atalon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 2013 - $31.99
