Few family gatherings in North India are complete without samosa – a scrumptious, deep fried, twisted pack of goodness filled with a variety of meats, vegetables, or a combination of the two. Pakoras are created by taking a variety of vegetables, dipping them in batter and deep-frying to a golden crispness. Samosa and pakoras are perfect companions for tea, and chai-samosa or chai-pakora is a staple combo for many heated discussions and brain-storming sessions. This class will be a primer for this ever-popular food. We will also prepare Pav-Bhaji, a very popular street food, a medley of spice infused vegetables, served with buttered bread. Come explore and get transported to a world of spices and taste!
