Maison Leroy has long been the premier model for a Burgundian Maison — revered for their growers' philosophy of viticulture and their meticulous grape selection, resulting in wines that are of uncompromising quality.
On Friday, April 20th, Monsieur Gilles Deprez of Maison Leroy will be on hand to lead us through a tasting of stellar current releases and library vintages from the Maison, which will be paired with a tailored tasting menu by Chef Bengtsson.
About Maison Leroy: Founded in 1868, Maison Leroy has a long and illustrious history, from their partial ownership of Domaine Romanée-Conti to the current matriarch, Madame Lebize-Leroy, the Maison has continuously pushed the envelope of what was possible in Burgundy.
Firmly anchored as a 'grande dame' of Burgundy, Madame Lebize-Leroy has been unapologetically committed to cultivating her vines with biodynamic practices since 1980's, something that not only separates her from other winemakers but also comes through in each vintage.
