The Wines
Klaus Lentsch Muller Thurgau, Italy $16.99
Good acidity, with pronounced aromatics — florals, yel low fruit Wine maker notes Run by two generations of the Lentsch family, Hartmann Lentsch and his grandson Klaus, the winery has been making wine for over 120 years. The estate covers 12.5 hectares of vineyards in the sun drenched Sud Tirol strewn with porphyry rock and sandy clay.
Val di Toro Vermentino, Italy $16.99
Refreshing Vementino- Grechetto blend .Match this herbaceous and nutty Tuscan white with veggies, fish and lighter meats.
Domaine De Boissan Cuvee Prince d’Orange Cotes-du-Rhone $13.99
Inviting nose, full bodied and tannic structure. This is not an austere CDR. Full dark fruit with a spicy hint towards the rear of the palate.
Cantine Danese Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Italy $8.99
Intense ruby red with slight violet highlights with delicious aromas of black cherries, strawberries, and herbs. It’s full-bodied and robust, fresh plums on the palate, nicely balanced by food-friendly acidity and soft tannins.
Chateau Beauvillage Medoc, France $18.99
Offers a nice mix of blackberries, cassis, toast, spices, sweet pipe tobacco all take shape in the glass. Medium bodied, balanced and velvety with plenty of sweet cassis and spices which work their way through the finish. A lovely showing which is accessible now and should also handle some short-term cellaring.
