Cost: Pay only for what you want to taste
Island Time is a lovely, comfortable venue, but they don't serve food. So plan to bring your favorite carry-out or prepared dinner (sushi? barbecue?) and enjoy it with a taste or a full serving of something delicious from the Self-Serve Wine & Spirits bars, or a cold beer (at your own expense). "Island Time is blazing the innovation trail as one of the first in the country to provide its customers with Self-Serve Wine and Spirit Bars. Four separate self-serve bars with a total capacity of 28 bottles of wines and spirits are located in our Tasting Room to let you try a wine or a spirit before you buy!" We'll spend the first hour or so having a bite to eat and getting to know one another and then we'll taste some Whisky. Think of the Whisky Spirits group as your monthly whisky social group!
MEMBER DISCOUNT: All members who attend will receive a 5% DISCOUNT on all bottle purchases and spirits tastings. Discount valid on the night of the meetup only.
• What we'll do
Let's taste some Whisky/Whiskey and get to know each other. Please invite your friends to join this group! We'll decide as a group which whiskies we want to taste and learn about, and we will get a 5% discount on the half-ounce samples. With over 40 single malts and over a hundred other top-shelf whiskeys and bourbons available, there is plenty to choose from. Light snacks will be provided during the tasting portion of the evening.
• What to bring
Bring your friends! There is no fee for this meetup. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own Glen Cairn glasses. I have a set of three glasses that I like to bring to tastings.
• Important to know
If you have a kilt, wear it! You pay only for what you want to taste. There is no membership fee, but a small contribution to cover the cost of the snacks that will be provided will be appreciated! Island time has a water dispenser for chilled, filtered water, so we'll have non-chlorinated water to add to our samples if desired. Please DO NOT check in with the cashier.
