Stop by the store this Saturday for a free wine tasting showcasing a trio of new arrivals to the store.  It’s Asheville’s best free wine tasting, and you’re invited!  Just stop by — we’ve got plenty of free parking.

2018 is flying by and Table Wine is off to a great start.  I attribute that to my excellent staff, great service, exciting events, and the new, hip and hot wines we’re always bringing in.  Join us this Saturday to sample some of my favorite new additions to the store.  We’ll pour you a tremendous, old-vine Chenin Blanc from California, a chuggable Mencia from Spain, and a rocking Southern Rhone from the awesome 2016 vintage.  Just stop by, taste, learn and save big every Saturday at Table Wine.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle on tasting day!  To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of business on Saturday, March 17th.

Can’t make it, but want to take advantage of the savings?  Just call us at 828.505.8588 to place your order, and we can run your credit card over the phone.

1. 2016 Field Recordings Chenin Blanc (Santa Ynez Valley, California) – From the Jurassic Park Vineyard in California’s Santa Ynez Valley, this is 100% Chenin Blanc from vines planted in 1978.  From the winery: “Beautifully balanced aromas of Anjou pear, Meyer lemon, spiced apple and almond cookies folled by a striking palate of cardamom, Key Lime pie and spruce. Incredible food-pairing flexibility.
Special Tasting Price: $19.19/bottle

2. 2015 Castro Ventosa Mencia Joven “El Castro de Valtuille” (Bierzo, Spain) – Castro Ventosa was founded by the Perez family in 1752, and today, the estate is run Raul Perez, one of the key players in the world of Mencia and Bierzo.  All of the vines are farmed organically, and the resulting wine is fresh, juicy, and invigorating.  Vibrant notes of lively cherry, raspberry, and cranberry make this a great alternative to Pinot Noir.  The price isn’t too shabby either!
Special Tasting Price: $12.79/bottle

3. 2016 Domaine les Grands Bois Cotes du Rhone Villages “Les Trois Soeurs” (Beaujolais, France) – This certified organic, Southern Rhone producer makes some of my favorite Cotes du Rhones.  From a vintage that Jeb Dunnuck called “heavenly,” this blend of 65% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 5% Carignan is deeply colored, ripe, robust and while one can think of many flavors to describe them, the word delicious pretty much says it all.
Special Tasting Price: $13.59/bottle
