PARKING ~ FREE & PAID
Valet parking is available for $8.00. The drop-off point is two doors south of our entrance in front of Shakespeare Pub at the corner of India and Winder. Also, on-street parking is usually available within a 3-block radius. Remember that it’s OK to park in yellow commercial zones after 6:00 and that meters are also free after 6:00. You can also park in the lot behind Shakespeare Pub two doors down, but do not park in El Indio's lot unless you want your car towed! If you can’t find parking next to the restaurant, there’s always LOTS OF PARKING on San Diego Avenue and the adjacent side streets just past the Chevron station across Washington Street. So please don't drive yourself crazy endlessly going around in circles waiting to pounce on that perfect spot when there's TONS OF PARKING less than three blocks away!
WINE NOTES & BOTTLE PRICES
2016 Mauritson Sauvignon Blanc ~ $15
(Dry Creek Valley) Winemaker's Notes: Our Sauvignon Blanc is gorgeously fruity. The aroma is a beautiful balance of young white peach flesh, papaya, and delicate white blossom. There is a pervasive vein of minerality and fresh pine sap. The entry is bright and focused. On the palate, notes of candied grapefruit dance with flavors of summer melon and lime zest. The finish is clean and soft with balanced acidity. Enjoy this wine with light appetizers, salads, seafood dishes or on its own on a warm summer evening.
2015 Frog's Leap Chardonnay ~ $30
(Napa Valley) Winemaker notes: Initial stage of alcoholic fermentation takes place in 100% new French Oak for a period of 4-5 days, then transferred to concrete tanks to finish fermentation and to age, on the lees, for nine months. This imbues the wine with the delicate, reductive aromatics known to classic Chardonnay – minerality, stoniness, a matchstick quality, similar to what one would find in Meursault or Puligny-Montrachet. The long fermentation produces a wine that is bone-dry, has mouthfeel without weight and highlights the earthen side of the variety.
2015 Journeyman Pinot Noir ~ $48
(Russian River Valley) Complex nose of forest floor, Asian spices, gunpowder, sweet tobacco, and just ripe yet still tart plum. Super complex attack of earthy yet subtly tart sweet black plums and black cherries mellowing with faint tobacco and cocoa flavors in the evolution and with sweet acidity and smooth tannins in the long finish. Ready to drink now with rich salmon, pork or duck dishes or cellar up to 5-7 years to allow this Burgundy-like Pinot to reach its full potential.
2014 Ridge "Paso Robles" Zinfandel ~ $29
(Paso Robles) 100% Zinfandel. Winemaker's Notes: Deep ruby. Black cherry, stewed plum, exotic barrel spice. Ripe bramble on entry, firm acid, gravelly mineral, medium-full body, round tannins, integrated oak finish.
NV Hidalgo Pedro Ximenez Sherry (500ml) ~ $21
(Spain) Winemaker's Notes: Explosive aromas and intense flavors of maple, raisins, dry figs and honey. Rich, sweet and mouth-filling yet elegant and refined. The ultimate after-dinner drink. Drizzle over vanilla ice cream or drink with blue veined cheeses for a classic pairing.
