First off, we would like to thank everyone who helped to make our inaugural edition of our Supper Club so much fun! Our only regret is that we could not accommodate everyone who wanted to attend. We'll continue to try and tweek the format, but in the meantime, we'll incorporate the element of chance into this month's dinner.
We'll collect names via our online form, and then pick 20 names out of a hopper. Well, the virtual version of that at least. The point being, everyone will have an equal opportunity for a ticket. If you have a plus one, please type that person's name along with your the wines you plan on bringing in the field at the bottom of the form. We can not add names to the hopper who have not declared their wines.
Please note, for this particular dinner, we are asking that each attendee bring either a magnum or 2 bottles of the same wine so that everyone will have an opportunity to taste each wine. With 20 people, one 750ml bottle just won't be enough to make it around the table!
This month's theme is Tuscany and we thought what better way to celebrate than with one of the great Italian chefs in DC, Fabio Trabocchi. The menu is TBD, but Casa Luca always delivers a first-class experience and we're thrilled that they're partnering with us for ZDC Supper Club II.
The purpose of these dinners is to connect those in the wine world together over great food and great wine. Of course, we fully expect a certain level of one-upsmanship, as is the norm with the wine world. And since we're always up for a challenge, for this Tuscany-centric dinner we'll bring an apéritif and a couple of bottles from the "Big 5" Super Tuscan producers.
If you would like to attend and you don't have any Tuscan wines that will fill the bill, just let us know. We'll send you a list of appropriate choices from our stock that you can purchase as your ticket to the dinner. Knowing wine lovers as we do, we expect spaces to be filled in an instant, so click on the link below to request a seat and we'll confirm as soon as possible.
