Chef Ryan Costanza, Natty Wine Partisan Matt Bone and Vino Carta come together to offer a night at Cala Cala. Cala Cala is Sicilian slang for delicious, juicy every day wine that goes down oh so smooth (think Glou Glou.) It is also the name for the future Natural Wine Bar chef-d'oeuvre of Costanza and Bone.
Chef Ryan comes to San Diego by way of the Bay Area where he most recently worked for Michelin Star'd Dominique Crenn. Currently, you can find his craftwork at play in Oceanside's first and only Balinese restaurant, Dija Mara. Matt Bone is also a recent transplant. By way of Los Angeles, where he most recently managed the bar at the über hip westside eatery Hatchet Hall. Currently, he is a dynamo behind the bar at Vino Carta.
San Diego is fortunate to have these two young, energetic and seasoned hospitality pros. Their passion for good food and wine is evident and magnetic. We are thrilled to have them provide a sneak peek into their upcoming project, and we hope you can join us.
