Local Event
Cost: $50.00
Food:
For a thousand years or so, Hungary's food, like its culture, has had an intriguing double identity, cleverly blending eastern mystique with the traditions of the west. Recipes were adapted to suit their own tastes, which also gave the dishes a national flavour. The spicy, red powdered paprika is the most important ingredient in Hungarian dishes, like the well-known Goulash soup, Beef stew dishes or the Fisherman’s Soup.
Wine:
Slovenia's is possibly the most unusual wine culture in the world, certainly in Europe. This country is land of an extreme winemaking. Miha Batic is one of the country’s growing band of organic and biodynamic producers. He believes wines are ‘born’, not made, and that the densely planted vineyards where they are conceived should be full of life.
