Burgundy, France vs. California & Oregon - A Seminar on Pinot Noir!
Friday, March 2 from 6:30-8:00, $49
In this session you will be introduced to the wine region of Burgundy, France and the distinctive red (Pinot Noir) wines they produce and compare and contrast them with those from California and Oregon. You will gain a better understanding of why the same grape variety, grown in multiple regions, will have similar characteristics yet achieve its own unique “personality” in the finished wine and determine if “terroir” plays a significant role.
The session will conclude with a blind tasting to see if you can apply what was learned and guess the region, approximate age and cost of the wine. Six wines will be enjoyed along with a variety of light appetizers selected to enhance the tasting experience.
