Join us for a free wine tasting showcasing some great values this Saturday!  We’ll pull the corks on some wines that offer great QPR, and you’re going to love them.  It’s Asheville’s best free wine tasting, and you’re invited — just stop by as we’ve got plenty of free parking.

The star of this tasting for me is the 2016 Ferraton Cotes du Rhone Blanc, as it truly does drink like a good White Chateauneuf du Pape.  From a great vintage in the Southern Rhone, Jeb Dunnuck recently rated this one 90 points, and it’s our new Case of the Month.  How’s $8.99/bottle on your solid case sound?  Yep, it’s a great white wine for drinking now or over the next 3-5 years, and it’s delicious whether it’s cool or warm outside.  Stop by, taste, learn, and save big every Saturday at Table Wine.  And mark Saturday, February 24th on your calendar.  It’s a Kermit Lynch Super Saturday Wine Tasting and we’re pouring 8 French wines from one of our favorite importers.

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle!  To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of the tasting.

1. 2016 Ferraton Cotes du Rhone Blanc “Samorens” (Southern Rhone Valley, France) – It’s our new Case of the Month, and you’ll struggle to find a better white wine for the money.  “Made from equal parts Roussanne, Viognier and Clairette, the 2016 Côtes du Rhône Samorens is terrific white from a region that’s producing more and more high-quality whites. Citrus blossom, brioche, crushed rocks and a touch of white grapefruit fruit emerge from this clean, crisp white that’s going to age nicely for 3-4 years, if not longer.” – Jeb Dunnuck – 90 points
Special Tasting Price: $9.59/bottle
Case of the Month Price: $8.99/bottle on your solid case – Over 20% off!

2. 2016 Fornas Pinot Grigio Rosato (Veneto, Italy) – Talk about spring/summer refreshment!  Invite friends over, gather on porch, pour a round of this, and watch people’s faces light up. This one is light, yet aromatic and flavorful with notes of watermelon, white peach, and mixed citrus fruits.  If hungry, serve this one with spicy marinated, grilled shrimp and/or veggies.
Special Tasting Price: $8.79/bottle

3. 2015 Familia Schroeder Saurus Pinot Noir (Patagonia, Argentina) – Looking for a great Pinot Noir at a great price?  Look no further!  The version from Argentina’s Schroeder family is one of my favorite under-$15 Pinots.  Smooth, silky, moderately complex and laced with notes of ripe berries, violet, and hints of toasty oak, it’s a great alternative to more mass produced and widely distributed brands like Meiomi.
Special Tasting Price: $11.99/bottle
