Get your weekend off to a good start and join us for a free wine tasting featuring the 2014 Elk Cove Pinot Noir!  It’s the best free wine tasting in Asheville, and it’s one of the top value Oregon Pinot Noirs from the excellent 2014 vintage.  Just stop by any time between 4-7pm — we’ve got plenty of free parking!

Don’t worry, we’re still pouring three wines, and the two whites are outstanding values, but the 2014 Elk Cove Pinot Noir is truly sensational.  I thought their 2014 (a pristine vintage) was gone, but our friends at Grapevine Distributing had some hiding, and I bought the last 28 cases.  Rated 92 points by James Suckling and drinking like a dream right now, it’s a sensational wine, and I’m offering it up at the best price in the country.  If you love Oregon Pinot Noir or Pinot Noir from anywhere, do not miss this tasting.  Stop by, taste, learn, and save big every Friday at Table Wine.  And stop back by tomorrow to try the 90-point-rated Ferraton Cotes du Rhone Blanc and a couple of others — that one drinks like White Chateauneuf du Pape, but sells for as low as $8.99/bottle!

All of the featured tasting wines are being offered at 20% off by the bottle!  To take advantage of the savings, all sales must be tendered by the end of the tasting.

Can’t make it, but want to take advantage of the savings?  Just use the contact form below to place your order, and I’ll contact you when it’s ready for pick-up.

1. 2017 Man Family Wines Chenin Blanc (Coastal Region, South Africa) – South Africa does wonderful things with Chenin Blanc, and this is undoubtedly one of the country’s top values in that category.  Made with grapes from old bush vines, it is fermented in stainless steel and aged on the lees for 4 months.  Balancing tart citrus with riper orchard and tropical fruit flavors along with subtle notions of ginger and orange peel, you can’t beat if for the money.
Special Tasting Price: $7.99/bottle

2. 2016 Domaine Brunet Chardonnay (Languedoc, France) – Here’s a terrific value in beautifully balanced French Chardonnay.  Grown in the clay and limestone soils on the cool plateaus of the Hérault Valley of Southern France, the wine is fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel and French oak.  Crisp and dry, yet lush and ripe, it’s the perfect “anytime Chardonnay.”
Special Tasting Price: $9.59/bottle

3. 2014 Elk Cove Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley, Oregon) – Many of you already know how good this one is — if you don’t, here’s your chance to try it.  Founded in 1974, Elk Cove is one of Oregon’s pioneering producers, and Adam Campbell continues to craft some of the state’s most pleasure-bent wines.  “A wine with plenty of dried-strawberry and berry aromas and flavors. Medium to full body, firm and velvety tannins — yet this is always refined and polished. A beauty. Drink or hold.” – James Suckling – 92 points
Special Tasting Price: $23.99/bottle
