Quaintrelle’s popular winemaker dinner series kicks off 2018 with Matt Berson, vintner and winery owner of Love & Squalor. Dinner will take place Wednesday, January 24th at 6:30 p.m. with a seasonal four-course, family-style meal prepared by executive chef Bill Wallender and paired with Berson’s wines. Tickets are $75 including gratuity, food and wine pairings.
Love & Squalor launched in 2006 with a bit of Pinot noir and a splash of Riesling and a name taken from the lead story of J.D. Salinger’s “Nine Stories”: For Esme, with Love and Squalor. The winery continues to produce small-batch, well-balanced Pinot noir and Rieslings sourced from the Willamette Valley that let the fruit “do its thing.”
Portland Monthly Magazine recently recognized Love & Squalor’s Riesling Willamette Valley as one of the "50 wines you need to drink RIGHT NOW!"
