Join us for this unique opportunity as we experience the aging process and how our Cabernet Sauvignon develops from barrel to bottle to cellar-aged. We start with a 2015 barrel tasting and compare the aromas and flavors with the 2013. As a special treat we'll crack open the 2010 from our cellar (while supplies last). Enjoy cheese and chocolate paired with Cabernet and shop for specially selected limited library vintages available during this annual celebration. Free to Club Members and 3 guests.
All of the grapes for the Cabernet's being tasted were grown by Covarrubias who just completed his 44th vintage at Wente Vineyards as Senior Vineyard Manager. He meticulously farms his family vineyard, Casa de Vinas, less than a mile from the winery. Meet Julio during Cabstravaganza from 2 to 4pm.
