NV Stratton Lummis "The Riddler" Lot 6
NAPA VALLEY, California
This wine is a blend of Petit Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Tempranillo Charbono, Zinfandel and Petite Verdot. Kind of wacky but the name is the Riddler. It has a lot of blackberry and blueberry fruit, black licorice spice and a peppery note to the nose. Very fruit forward and drinkable style with and exotic spice to the finish, very puzzling and always a crowd pleaser.

2014 Shatter Grenache
Languedoc-Roussillon, France
A collaboration between David Phiney and Joel Gott
Aromas of roasted black fruit with hints of anise, black pepper and vanilla. The wine opens with lush flavors of blueberry and plum, leading to sweet notes of dried fruit on the mid-palate and soft tannins which are nicely balanced by bright acidity. The finish is long and concentrated with well-integrated oak. Using older oak barrels alongside new helps to soften and round out the wine’s natural intensity, accentuating the fruit and spice characteristics.
