Lemon and lime are cocktail essentials. But what about grapefruit, orange, and even lesser used citrus like Meyer lemons and kumquats? We pay a lot of attention to the spirits that we put into our cocktails, but the non-alcoholic ingredients are possibly even more important. This class will give the same focus to citrus juices that past classes have given to gin or bourbon or rum.
The class includes a combination of history and stories, technique instruction, and hands-on making of cocktails. Plus sampling, of course! Total consumption is equivalent to about 2 cocktails per person over the 90 minute class. Antietam is an award-winning restaurant in Detroit’s Eastern Market. Their delicious full menu will be available before, after and during the class, so consider coming for dinner as well.
