WSET Level 2 Certification INTENSIVE Course
The Capital Wine School now offers WSET courses at Upper Shirley Vineyards!
This course will be held from February 26 to February 28. Class will meet on Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday, class will meet from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., and the exam will be held from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
This structured classroom style course will be an approachable and interactive look at key grape varieties and wine regions as well as major spirits categories. This knowledge along with information on styles, classifications, and labeling terms will unlock the mysteries of wine label vocabulary. Developing fundamental tasting skills will come over the three days as we taste together and learn to describe and assess 40 different wines.
This course is designed for consumers and the trade with some wine knowledge. Level 1 is not a prerequisite, but Level 2 is best attempted with some advance study and/or experience.

WSET Course Book and Study Guide
Exam (1 hour /50 multiple choice) on Wednesday morning
Guided tasting of approximately 40 wines
Successful Exam Candidates receive the WSET Level 2 award, an internationally recognized credential in the wine industry.
