Fundamentals for Professionals - Wine Basics:
Fundamentals for Professionals classes are one-day short courses to help prepare those who feel their wine knowledge is not sufficient to successfully complete the Level I Certification Seminar. Or, for those who would like a one-day basic introduction to wine.
This short-course presents an overview of the fundamentals of red, white, rosé, fortified, sparkling and late harvest wines through a series of lectures and wine evaluation exercises. It is not a course for certification; there is not an exam.
In this one-day short course you will:
- Learn about still, effervescent, fortified and late harvest wines
- Get an overview of wine making
- Learn some basic wine terminology
- Taste at least 8 wines
- Receive 20 pages of handout material
