Niles Canyon Railway is pleased to announce a special event -- Romance on the Rails --Two Valentine’s Day Wine Tasting Specials on Sunday, February 11, 2018. Train departs/leaves at12:00pm and returing at 2:00pm and at 3pm and returning at 5pm.
1920-40s attire is admired, but not required.
Experience the magic of a bygone era as you travel through scenic Niles Canyon on a vintage train from Sunol to Niles and back. En route, you'll be served specially-selected wines from the Livermore Valley, paired with hors d’oeuvres.
This train features the Niles Canyon Railway Museum's Southern Pacific parlor/diner car 10040 newly restored to its elegant 1920s appearance. The car features plush lounge seating . The car is climate-controlled for your comfort, and attendants will be on board to assist during your trip. An open-air car is also included on the train for your viewing enjoyment.
First train depart/leaves from the Sunol depo at 12:00 noon, and returns at 2:00pm and the second train departs/leaves at 3:00pm and returns at 5:00pm . Seating is limited. Tickets are $80+fee per person and are available at www.ncry.org. . The parlor/diner car is not wheelchair-accessible due to the narrow passages on our vintage equipment.
