Wine Fraud and Counterfeiting Presentation: In this packed morning presentation, we review the history of wine fraud, beginning in ancient times, through the more recent Rodenstock, Kurniawan and Iugov, counterfeit cases, including the fraud that we are helping to expose and prosecute today. We discuss the numerous ways that villainous vendors and malicious merchants in the wine industry defraud fellow merchants and consumers alike. We then outline the various types of bottle counterfeiting, and where they are affecting markets today, as well as introduce some of the major authentication techniques that we use to reveal them.
Attendance to the Presentation is included in Professional Membership of WineFraud.com. Membership must be purchased in advance of attendance.
Authentication Training Level I will follow the Presentation. Authentication Training Level II will take place on Feb 27th, and March 1st. Registration for those is seperate. Please see seperate listing, or winefraud.com for more information or to register for a package.
