Special Holiday Tasting
California Cabernet Sauvignons
Saturday, December 23rd
Trapp Family Lodge Wine Cellar
Ah, Cabernet Sauvignon, the spine of Bordeaux, fruit of California, best friend of Rare Beef.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the grape that put California on the international Wine map long ago when a bottle of Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon beat many higher priced Bordeaux in a blind tasting by French judges. The French were embarrassed, we were thrilled.
Cabernet Sauvignons have been my favorite wines for quite some time and though my wife Ellen prefers white wines with nearly everything with Filet Mignon (her favorite) it’s gotta be Cab. Yeah!
These are some very good Cabernets
Price is $40. Please call or see the front desk to place reservations. 802 253-5742. Doors open @ 4:00. I suggest you arrive no later than 5:00 to avoid feeling rushed. People come and go during the tasting which is an informal walk around format. We end at 6:00
