Wines

Food

Marimar Don Miguel, Albarino, Crisp White, RRV, Sonoma, CA, Y, Fresh and elegant bouquet with nice dried pear notes, continuing in the mouth with a nice feel and length; delicious

Tomatillo and Jalapeno Bruschetta

We are heading to Mexico with this slightly spicy spread.  Wonderful with tortilla chips, on a pizza, in a sandwich, etc.

Wind Gap, Trousseau Gris, Soft White, RRV, Sonoma, CA, "Kissed with the slightest hint of color from the pigmented skin and the brief skin contact, which gives the wine some interesting weight on the palate. The exotic fresh fruit and brilliant zesty acidity make it ideal for sipping all year long"

Cashews

Right before Christmas we all get a little bit nutty so why not spread the craziness, we these crazily, delicious roasted cashews from Fastachi’s of Watertown.

Marimar La Masia, Chardonnay, Rich White, RRV, Sonoma, CA, Y, Fresh buttery fruit fragrances, full, delicious, balanced, complex and long; excellent

Montamore

Another of our favorite cheeses from Wisconsin.  This is a beautiful, beautiful cheese.

Marimar Mas Cavalls, Pinot Noir, Smooth Red, Sonoma Coast, CA, Y, Full bodied, complex and persistent yet fresh on the palate with good acidity

Marietta Angeli Cuvee, Zinfandel, Petite Syray, Carignan, Bold Red , Alexander Valley, CA, Rich, voluptuous and sexy. Bright and evocative in the glass, the fruit runs from tart rhubarb all the way to ripe blackberry. A full mouth of fruit yields to stone and earth as the Zinfandel is bolstered by textural Petite Sirah. Brilliant now, but has aging ability.

Bresaola Beef Salami

100% beef with unusual, “bran-muffin” like spices.  A Lombardian classic.

Marietta Game Trail, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bold Red, Yorkville Highlands, Mendocino, CA, /dusplays a spicy nose of cloves, cinnamon and Sichuan pepper over a core of crème de cassis, dried Mediterranean herbs and black soil. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, the generous fruit is well supported by grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing with lingering mineral suggestions.

Barely Buzzed

From the Beehive State of Utah, this cow’s milk cheese is packed with flavor from the coffee and lavender rub.  Beautiful on a cheese platter.

Special Italian Wines with John Maisano

Wine

Food

Colle Amato  Nero Bueno, Bold Red, Lazio, Italy, An aroma of blackberry jam and cherries, with spicy notes that recall black pepper and cloves. The taste is powerful and elegant; tannins give this wine great structure.

Mull of Kintyre Cheddar

A very satisfying sharp cheddar from Scotland.  We love the packaging too!

Agricola Cottini Amarone Corvina, Rondinella, Covinone, Molinara   Smooth Red, Veneto, Italy, Y, Powerful prune and raisin boquet with notes of leather and forest fruit, which continues in the mouth; rich, full and long; awesome

Bresaola Beef Salami

100% beef with unusual, “bran-muffin” like spices.  A Lombardian classic.

Agricola Cottini Recioto, Corvina, Rondinella, Covinone, Molinara, Dessert, Veneto, Italy, Y, Sweet plum bouquet, with more of the same and sweet plum on the tongue

Fourme D’Ambert Blue

A very mild, creamy, and especially delicious blue.  It won’t overpower the Recioto.
