San Diego's most colorful chocolatier Sweet Petite Confections will host a "Vino Divino" wine and chocolate pairing on Friday, December 15 to celebrate this year's holiday season. Taking place between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. in Sweet Petite Confections’ pink floored working kitchen, the evening will see chocolatier Michelle Lomelin guiding guests through four increasingly complex courses of wines, bonbons and barks carefully picked to complement or contrast one another and inspired by the holiday season. Pairings will include:
Shramsberg Vineyards’ Blanc de Blancs Champagne + Sweet Beet Bonbon- White chocolate ganache infused with orange zest and Grand Marnier liqueur enrobed in white chocolate
Commanderie de la Bargemone Winery Rosé + Pear Williams Bonbon- Fresh pear milk chocolate ganache with Pear Williams brandy and enrobed in 38% milk chocolate
Wild Horse Winery and Vineyards’ Pinot Noir + Cranberry Cognac Bonbon- tart cranberry 72% dark chocolate ganache with Remy Martin Cognac enrobed in 72% dark chocolate
20-year-old Tawny Port from Fonseca Porto Winery + Walnut Fig Bonbon- Toasted walnut dark chocolate gianduja and orange scented fig pate de fruit enrobed in 64% dark chocolate
