We invite you to help, learn, and taste during an engaging and delicious wine class focused on the wines of Patland Estate Winery. All proceeds from this class will be donated to the Napa Valley Community Foundation.
On the evening of October 15th, Michael Patland (Director of Marketing for Patland Estate Winery, son of the winery owners and ICC alum) lost his family’s winery to the devastating fires in Napa. You can read more about his chilling, first-hand experience on the winery’s blog here: http://www.patlandvineyards.com/Blog
In an effort to help Patland Estate maintain business without their tasting room, and to raise funds for North Bay fire relief efforts, ICC has partnered with Michael to offer a special food and wine pairing benefit class.
During this class, Associate Wine Director Rachel Lintott will teach you about the founding fathers of Napa, and how the legendary wine country we know today came to be. Explore the regions and the grapes planted here, as well as some of the obstacles faced and initiatives taken by the region’s famed vintners.
Next, Michael will lead a tasting of four Patland Estate wines. All wines will be perfectly paired with small plates created by ICC Chef Instructor Nicholas Baron.
All proceeds from the class will be donated to the Napa Valley Community Foundation and Patland Estate wines will be available for purchase following the class.
