Arizona’s highest quality fine art event, produced by Thunderbird Artists, is entering its 25th year with the Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival, January 19th, 20th & 21st, 2018, featuring the most accomplished artists in the United States. This festival is widely known as “…a Collector’s Paradise, TM” as well as an upscale wine tasting event - second to none!
The United States is the World’s Fourth largest wine producer, after France, Italy and Spain and it is estimated that, in 2016, 949 Million Gallons of wine was consumed in the United States.* The oldest known possible evidence of utilizing grapes for making wine was approximately 9,000 years ago. The process has certainly evolved in the last 9 millennia, but one thing’s for sure, wine is still a staple for society. We are so honored to have had the privilege of working with some of the best wineries in the country and are excited about our line-up for the season. For this event, we are featuring Aridus Wine Company, AZ Wine Cellars, Cellar 433, King Frosch and Schlossadler International, to name a few.
Since 2012, Aridus has become Arizona’s largest custom crush facility. Utilizing the highest-quality red and white grape varietals, Aridus crafts its proprietary label that rivals the deep colors, rich aroma and complex flavors of the finest artisanal wines. AZ Wine Cellars was founded in 1991, on fertile, high-desert land north of Wilcox, Arizona. The owners worked with a seven-generation French wine making family to create their uniquely southwestern wines. Cellar 433’s owner John McLoughlin has over three decades experience from dirt to bottle and his renegade wine-making style has originated a family of wines ranging from the approachable to the esoteric. All are evocative of Arizona’s unique terrain and oblige the wine drinking pleasure of novice and connoisseur, alike. King Frosch’s followers call them “the no-headache" wines. They specialize in all-natural wines with no artificial additives and the lowest sulfite and histamine levels. Schlossadler International has been importing fine wines from family owned vineyards from around the world since 1979. Their vast selection allows attendees to choose from dry to extremely fruity, red to sparkling, with wines from Argentina to New Zealand.
The Carefree Fine Art & Wine Festival is a MUST attend event for any art, wine and music enthusiast! The festival will take place in downtown Carefree, near the corner of Easy and Ho Hum streets. Hours are 10am to 5pm each day. Admission is $3.00 and parking is free all weekend.
